on official request im sending some greetings from turkey, mainly to sophie but of course also to anyone else who cares to read. life here is pretty unexciting since im mainly spending my time figuring out what im gonna do next in the whole life-scheme-thingey (in practice, watching crap tv hoping a gorgeous idea will dawn on me). the amount of crap tv ive watched has also made me seriously scared of american culture, but i guess i have myself to blame after seeing 'living lohan', 'denise richards - the true story', dr 90210 (blatantly sponsored by plastic surgeons) and 'extreme hollywood', pretty much all at once. but then again, they say americas time as a super power is pretty much done and asia is taking over, so perhaps instead of 'extreme hollywood' we'll be watching 'extreme beijing'? well itll be a change at least.

yesterday i went to the hairdresser to fix my roots - geez that sounded like a proper 'legally blonde'-kind of sentence - and was quite fascinated by the service. first of all, for reasons unclear to me hairdressing in turkey is a pretty much exclusively male job, and unlike any 'normal' european country these males are not gay! secondly they don't just have one hairdresser per customer but several. I honestly had four hairdressers blowdrying my hair at the same time (tho it soon went back to the 'normal' number of three), which made me giggle tho i tried to keep a straight face. as it appeared this attention was not due to me being a blonde tourist as i saw others receiving the same treatment. im thinking this might be turkeys way of solving unemployment. alternatively its an undercover brothel.

further i bought an irrestibly cute/ugly brown t-shirt today picturing a psycho-happy radish saying 'eat veg'! i thought of getting one for sophie but as a cheater-vegetarian she doesnt get to wear such fancy stuff.

maja giving travel report from Riga, which was a half-nice city thats half-recommended since it had the nice chain 'double coffee' and the possibility of seeing some faded latvian popstars. otherwise, it also has some nice ex-commie poverty and the sexmarket is rewarded 9 cods, or 'torskar', out of ten. however, apart from balding middle-aged men from the north of sweden or english chav bachelor parties, the city would mainly appeal to people who want to add capitals to their show-off list or people who have a big obsession with that speciality of the eastern block that is the mullet, or 'hockeyfrilla'. if you do not fit any of these categories, visit stockholm instead if you're heading up north. the girls may not all be drawn-out versions of donatella versace but at least we know how to smile occasionally.

(this might sound like a horrible slagging off of Riga, actually we had a very good time.)

im still very very disappointed about not going to linz:-( i was longing for the hofer wine.. the tetra pack -one for 0,49euros with a delicious taste of vinegar. hmmm. im now in leksand, the sun is shining and the cows are staring. caspian is playing with his sibirian husky and im listening to the clash. yeah, maja and i bought tickets for riga yesterday.. 10 euros each with ryanair. coooool. maja paid though:b going in 3 weeks.. but just for 2 days. latvia is almost like russia. putin. hopefully we'll find our first big (mutual) love.. renars. singer in the famous latvian band.. stockholm is gray and depressive and no one cares about multi-coloured clothes. i miss central europe. the best thing with my new job is that it's temporary, that means freedom. the party last nite was ok but the only furnitures the guy possessed was a black big sofa, a white table and a huge tv. i so wanna leave. think too much during rainy sundays.

country house

a lot is actually going on. got a part-time job last week, gonna analyse the swedish and as well as the european market for concrete.. fancy isnt it. meeting the ceo again tuesday.. on verra. last nite was party nite with brother and som other ppl. had petter over for dinner and some fine french red wine and after that we ended up at some kinda release party at kungsholmen. the beer was expensive but petter paid most of it. the nite ended rather rough thou since my bus never showed up and id never consider grabbing a cab. came come around 4-5 so im rather tired today. anyways, going to a party with åsa tonite somewhere close to mariatorget, söder. update tomorrow, no more time right now.. gonna put on a face so i can show myself in public. listening to blur, old good memories.. i still think theyre good looking blokes. bisous to u all.. /parklife

Djurens skola

Det var en gång för länge sedan, när alla djuren i skogen bestämde sig för att göra något ordentligt för att förbereda sig för framtiden. De bestämde sig för att organisera en skola. De antog ett aktivitetsprogram som bestod av löpning, klättring, simning och flygning. Alla djuren skulle delta i skolundervisningen.

Ankan var utmärkt i simning, bättre än läraren faktiskt. I flygning fick den godkänt men blev underkänd i löpning. Eftersom den var så dålig i löpning fick den stanna kvar efter skolan för att träna. Till slut fick den sluta med simning för att klara löpningen. När ett år hade gått blev ankan godkänd i löpning, men den hade försummat simningen och var nu en medelmåtta. Dock räckte det med att bli godkänd enligt skolans principer. Ankan själv hade andra principer och blev djupt besviken över sin egen insats.

Kaninen var bäst i klassen på löpning, men bröt ihop efter två månader för att den inte klarade simningen.

Ekorren var jättebra i klättring men hade stora problem med flygningen. Den utvecklade ett mycket dåligt självförtroende på grund av problemen och blev därmed underkänd även i löpning.

Örnen var ett problembarn. I klättring var den överlägset snabbast upp till toppen av trädet, men blev underkänd för att den envisades men att göra det på sitt eget sätt istället för att göra som man ska…

Virginie gave me a mission. I’ve to reveal 6 things about myself, 6 “secrets” about my life. Alors c’est parti.

1) I dance every single morning a front of the mirror. The music varies from schlager to electronic.

2) I’m obsessed with eating ice. No, not ice cream but ice, ice cubes. The best thing is to put a bottle of water in the freeze and leave it there for 1h.

3) I’ve been making out with the same guy as Maja, I didn’t know!!

4) I love to plan stuff, my own life and rather other people’s life as well. I normally plan my day in the morning, with details such as when to start an actives and when to end it. I certainly plan when and what to eat as well.

5) I eat popcorn at the very least 5 times a week, with too much salt.

6) I'm going to marry a swiss doctor, he's name is Alain and he studies in Fribourg. We have to wait until he finshed his studies so he can afford having me as an unemployed shopaholic.

That’s it. The mission also includes that I’ve to challenge 6 friends to do their own lists, so the poor ones are Lina, Jennifer, Bernie, Cris, Maja and Henri. Viel Gluck!

hi again, had my coffee. just want to recommend these toothbrushes. you get 12 of them in 4 different colours for just 36kr or 4euros. i agree, too good to be true. everyone who knows about my toothbrush-problems knows that this can save my economy. unfortunately they are only available at claes i sjön or claes ohlson.

the trip to aix now includes a nite in avignon as well, we gonna eat raw fish for 30euros and say hi to some random popes. we leave on wednesday morning, ungodlily early, i mite hav to spend the nite at åsas place to get her up in the morning. on verra.

anyways, friday today which we all appreciate. spending the eve with lotta, the kids and too much popcorn. tomorrow lunch at grandmas place with lotta and anton followed by
inflyttningsfest at andreas place. åsa and me are planning to start the nite in sumpan with an alcoholic blur before heading to kallhäll (too off btw).

Den allvarsamma leken visas på stadsteatern nu under våren och jag tror nog att jag ska köpa mig en biljett. Det är mkt fördelaktigt att vara under 26 då man går för endast 100kr, man blir ju nästan hög av det och vill gå på varenda föreställning. Dock har den premiär först om cirka 2 månader men jag ska nog köpa mig en biljett. Annars kan jag med glädje rekommendera denna sida, skitsnyggt helt enkelt!

Tisdag eftermiddag/kväll

Efter en dag i ett studierum i Västerås tog jag redan 16.23-tåget från Västerås. Normalt brukar jag undvika att åka denna tid då det resulterar i att man får trängas med varenda pendlare på centralen runt halv 6 snåret. Jag trängdes således med varenda pendlare på tunnelbanan och log så mycket jag kunde då många såg så ledsna och trötta ut. Väl framkommen vid Slussen hann jag precis med 471 som går motorvägen mot Nacka. Det var minst sagt knökfullt på bussen, jag fick en ståplats i vagnsutrymmet längst bak. En kvinna kommer gående och ställer sig i gången en bit framför mig. Hon har svårt att hålla balansen och jag skulle tippa att hon är runt 70-80 år. Hon tittar sig runt, ingen reser sig för henne. Det är till och med så illa att folk undviker hennes blick. Jag knackar en yngre man på axeln och frågor om han inte kan resa sig upp så den äldre kvinnan får sitta ner. Han ger mig då sin förklaring till varför han inte erbjudit sin plats. Normalt gör han det alltid, han skulle aldrig tänka sig att sitta ner om en äldre människa som i detta fall knappt kan hålla balansen får stå upp. MEN. Han reser sig inte upp om det är en motorvägsbuss för det är olagligt att stå och krockar man då så är det bara att hälsa hem. Den skyldiga i detta fall är chauffören som låtit så många gå på. Jag tyckte detta var en intressant förklaring då mannen ifråga inte använde det säkerhetsbälte som fanns till förfogande. Jag har hört att bälten är ena rackare på att rätta liv, speciellt småbarnspappor i Nacka.

Im alive.. just been too much into my thesis lately. Spent the weekend in Dublin.. liked it very much. Thanx Julene for everything! Check facebook for pics. Saturday I'm heading to Uppsala for the marriage of a very dear high school friend, ahhh I need to find a dress!! first weekend of november

except the very sad thing with herkules the weekend was more than good. friday evening michael and me went to a party at his office downtown. i saw some former members of kiss and a room full of booze.. which was rather weird to find in an office premise.. but still, we didnt complain. we also found an ugly handmade bull filled with sweets. well, im not very good in explaining things. .. i better take a photo of him. took him with us.

saturday was scrapping day. julia, lina and me (or at least julia and lina) made some cards and other secret stuff (secret since julia made xmas gifts). i made a goblin. he lives in my purse. he looks after my keys.

now monday, spent the day working.. real work. heading to västerås tomorrow for some thesis writing. going with grandma to the opera later on. la traviata.
